On December 27th, the second drafting meeting of the "Design Standards for Aging friendly Decoration and Decoration of Residential Buildings" was held in Beijing. The Design Standards for Aging friendly Decoration of Residential Buildings are jointly edited by the Residential Decoration and Parts Industry Branch of the China Building Decoration Association and Beijing Jinchao Decoration Design Co., Ltd. This meeting conducted professional discussions and logical adjustments on the content of each chapter in the standard, laying a solid foundation for the next stage of standard preparation work.

With the acceleration of population aging and the expansion of the elderly population in our country, how to carry the "great happiness" of the elderly through the "small transformation" of aging adaptation has become an increasingly concerned topic for the government and the whole society. At the meeting, Gao Jun, Deputy Secretary General of the China Building Decoration Association, expressed gratitude to top enterprises from across the country for participating in the work conference amidst their busy schedules by the end of the year. Vice Secretary General Gao Jun affirmed the progress of the preparation of the Standards. Currently, the overall progress of the standard preparation work is relatively smooth, fully demonstrating the enthusiasm and professionalism of the participating enterprises. The editorial board of this "Standard" has gathered top enterprises and experts in the field of home decoration and elderly care renovation nationwide. It is hoped that the editorial board will fully leverage its advantages, continuously collide, communicate, and improve, so that this "Standard" can fully realize its value, lead the industry's development with practicality and practicality, and become an effective reference for the design of elderly care in the home decoration industry, creating a healthy, comfortable, and safe elderly care home life for consumers.

Hu Yanan, Secretary General of the Housing Industry Branch of the China Association for Decoration, stated that through the first opening meeting, we have determined the overall direction of the preparation of the "Standard" and made substantial progress. At this meeting, leading domestic enterprises in the design and renovation of aging friendly home decoration can gather in Beijing for face-to-face communication and exchange, and will more efficiently sort out and adjust the content of the "Standard". I also believe that the experts present can empower the preparation of the Standard with their practical experience, and jointly improve the overall level of aging friendly design and transformation in the industry.

Dai Jiangping, Chairman of Contemporary Decoration, stated that the aging friendly design of home decoration is a social difficulty that urgently needs to be solved. It is not only the accumulation of contemporary decoration in the aging friendly field, but also requires active participation and joint research from the entire industry in order to fully play the role of the home decoration industry in ensuring people's livelihood. Adapting home decoration to aging is not only the track of future enterprise development, but also the responsibility that enterprises cannot shirk. I hope that with the concerted efforts of all editorial board members, the "Standards" can be implemented and published in the industry as soon as possible, ensuring the safety of elderly residents, improving their living comfort, and improving their quality of life.

At the meeting, all attending experts gave suggestions and engaged in lively discussions on the sound and light environment, barrier free intelligent design, application of materials for elderly friendly parts, and elderly friendly furniture and soft furnishings related to the "Standard". They reached a consensus on the revision opinions, providing professional references for the next stage of editing work. The standard will soon form a draft for soliciting opinions, which will be solicited from the entire industry, striving to make the standard more comprehensive and effective in implementation.
