The China Cabinet Lighting Standards Seminar was held in Hengli Town, Dongguan City. Letaron Electronic Co., Ltd., in collaboration with multiple customized home furnishing brands, upstream and downstream enterprises in the industry, universities, authoritative testing and certification institutions at home and abroad, jointly reviewed the "Technical Requirements for LED Luminaires for Local Lighting of Cabinet Products" (draft opinion), which will fill the standard gap in the subdivision field of cabinet lighting in China.
In recent years, with the upgrading of market consumption, home lighting and commercial lighting have extended from focusing on spatial illumination to pursuing local lighting atmosphere. Cabinet lighting has emerged and is widely used in products such as cabinets, wardrobes, shoe cabinets, wine cabinets, foyer cabinets, bathroom cabinets, display cabinets, etc. It has gradually become a new standard for high-end home decoration and high-end commercial display, and higher requirements have been put forward for the reliability, stability, convenience, LED color rendering, service life, and other aspects of cabinet lighting products.
In November 2022, as a national specialized and innovative "little giant" enterprise in the field of optoelectronic intelligent control, Letaron, together with 14 relevant units, took the lead in launching an initiative in the industry, calling on everyone to jointly draft industry standards for cabinet lighting products and point out the direction for the standardized and healthy development of the industry.
After more than half a year, the "General Technical Requirements for LED Luminaires for Local Lighting in Cabinets" (draft opinion) has finally been released. This opinion draft provides detailed regulations and strict requirements for all components of cabinet lighting products, including lamps, control devices, charging devices, connectors, etc., involving more than 10 indicators such as safety technical specifications, application technical requirements, product performance, reliability, and service life.
At this seminar, experts from 20 units including Sofia, Gold Medal, Marg, Rabbit Baby, Dongguan Quality Inspection Center, TUV from Germany, UL from the United States, SGS from Switzerland, and ITS from the United Kingdom jointly reviewed and discussed the draft opinion in detail.
Representatives attending the meeting all believe that this standard provides fundamental technical support for the research and development, production, and inspection of cabinet lighting products, and provides strict regulatory guidance and safety guarantees for the entry of such products into the market. It has strong application selection basis and will effectively promote the formation of a healthy development ecology in the industry, lead the healthy and high-quality development of cabinet lighting sub industries, and benefit more enterprises and consumers.
