Li Hongyang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Jiangxi Construction Vocational and Technical College, and Yu Qin, Vice President of Haitian Hengji Decoration and General Manager of Haitian Times Technology, along with faculty and staff, visited the Housing Industry Branch of China Decoration Association to exchange in-depth views on the development status of the home decoration industry, explore the problems faced by the industry, and jointly explore new channels for talent cultivation and delivery in the future home decoration industry.

Secretary General Hu Yanan of the Housing Industry Branch of the China Association for Home Decoration first introduced the current development status of the home decoration industry to Jiangxi Construction Vocational and Technical College. Secretary General Hu Yanan introduced that since 2020, the home decoration industry has received high attention from governments at all levels. In the 14th Five Year Plan for development of multiple departments, "home decoration" has been repeatedly mentioned. In July 2023, the State Council Executive Meeting approved the "Several Measures to Promote Home Consumption", which comprehensively unleashes the potential of home consumption through eleven measures in four aspects. The home decoration industry plays an economic driving force and, together with automobiles, home appliances, and catering, serves as the "four giants" in the consumption field, becoming a representative of large-scale household consumption. In terms of industrial orientation, the transformation of the home decoration industry's industrial structure is driven by the productive service industry, and the upgrading of the consumption structure is led by service consumption. At the same time, home decoration also bears social responsibility. In the "Outline of the Strategic Plan for Expanding Domestic Demand (2022-2035)", it is pointed out that home decoration should focus on meeting personalized, diversified, and high-quality consumption needs. At the same time, as a labor-intensive industry, home decoration also plays an important role in expanding employment and transforming rural labor productivity.

While the home decoration industry is developing with high quality, it also faces some challenges, such as insufficient education, inadequate construction of industrial worker teams, insufficient technical strength, and insufficient worker reserves. These problems not only affect the service quality of the industry, but also constrain the sustainable development of the entire industry.

Secretary General Hu Yanan believes that the education, employment, and teaching staff issues in the home decoration industry not only require industry professionals to focus on solving, but also need to receive widespread attention from all sectors of society, jointly improve the quality of talent cultivation, cultivate high-quality industrial workers, promote technological innovation, enhance the overall service level of the industry, and strengthen the cultivation of worker reserves to ensure the sustainable development of the industry.

Li Hongyang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Jiangxi Construction Vocational and Technical College, stated that the exchange with the Housing Industry Branch of the China Association for Home Decoration has deepened the understanding of the home decoration industry among all attending faculty and staff. The college will actively respond and hope to participate in the reform of the home decoration industry. Through its high-quality teaching staff and theoretical background, the college will deeply cooperate with the Housing Industry Branch of the China Association for Home Decoration and other excellent enterprises, contribute to the talent reserve of the home decoration industry, strengthen and improve the school enterprise cooperation mechanism, and jointly promote the improvement of the standardization level of home decoration.

Vice Dean Xia Jiewen also shared the progress of the college's work in the pilot of modern apprenticeship system at the meeting. Jiangxi Construction Vocational and Technical College is a pilot unit of modern apprenticeship system by the Ministry of Education. The college continuously innovates its system and mechanism, deeply promotes school enterprise cooperation, expands the scope of school enterprise cooperation, and establishes stable talent cultivation and employment cooperation relationships with the construction industry and enterprises. The college will also upgrade talents in architectural decoration and interior design from B-level scarce talents to A-level scarce talents. It is hoped that through deepening the integration of industry and education, and school enterprise cooperation, more professional skilled home decoration reserve forces will be cultivated and output, making contributions to promoting the standardized development of the home decoration industry.

Yu Qin, Vice President of Haitian Decoration and General Manager of Haitian Era Technology, stated that as a high-quality enterprise in the industry, Haitian Decoration is actively exploring service standardization and talent cultivation. Currently, it has established school enterprise cooperation relationships with nearly 100 universities in more than ten provinces across the country, cultivating a total of 50000 comprehensive talents in architectural design, and providing new impetus for upgrading the home decoration industry.

This exchange meeting not only enhanced the understanding of the home decoration industry among all parties, but also provided valuable suggestions for promoting the improvement of industry standards. Secretary General Hu Yanan expressed his hope to deepen cooperation between more schools and enterprises, find the best path suitable for the development of the industry, inject new vitality into the home decoration industry, and promote the continuous development of the industry.
